Who We AreWe Are Family has been dedicated to providing resources for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, Intersex (GLBTQQI) and straight ally youth ages 16-23 for the past sixteen years. We offer support and leadership development opportunities through a program called SafeSpace, a weekly gathering of young GLBTQQI and affirming straight people who get together to share their experiences, express their feelings, and find encouragement among their peers. With two trained adult group facilitators present at every SafeSpace gathering, the meeting is both safe and structured. Meeting topics range from bullying to adopting healthy coping skills to deal with stress. Our goal is to empower GLBTQQI and straight ally youth and to help them find their places in the world, in their families, and in their communities. You are visitor: 4038 ©2008 We Are Family |
 We Are Family is one of the only active 501(c)(3) organizations in South Carolina whose mission focuses specifically on GLBTQ youth.
